Drawing a beautiful picture and questioning how long it took to sketch is an example of math in a visual. Modeling with mathematics is a skill that is used outside of the classroom.
Q: Introduce Your Three Act Story!
A: I'd be more than glad to introduce my Three Act Story. My Partner and I took a picture of a soccer ball for our Three Act Story visual. The soccer ball had two hemispheres, black pentagons, and white hexagons. Then my partner and I had to come up with a major question for our project. We then both agreed that out major question would be: How many white hexagons are on the soccer ball?
Q: How did you "Model with Mathematics" by creating your Three Act Story?
A: I modeled with mathematics in this project by choosing to take a picture of a sphere, that has two different shapes on it. I did this because I play competitive soccer and I wanted to know how math is part of my favorite sport.
